TIRANA, June 10- Comparing the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama with the totalitarian regime, the leader of the Democratic Party (DP) Sali Berisha announced the creation of an opposition front and the start of protests.
Berisha stated in a press conference on Friday that DP considers the creation of an opposition front composed of all opposition parties and civil society vital because citizens find it difficult to wait until September at a time when revolts are boiling in the hearts of citizens.
He called on citizens to join in the squares, while the internationals to isolate what he described as the monist regime of Prime Minister Rama.
“The DP calls on Albania’s friends in Europe and the United States to stop any support for the monist regime of Rama as a contribution to the establishment of a democratic system of control and balance,” Berisha said.
Speaking of the establishment of the two parliamentary Commissions of Electoral Reform and the Territorial one by Rama and the head of the faction of the DP parliamentary group, Enkelejd Alibeaj he called them farces refusing to take part in them. “We do not take part in farces organized by Rama and his abusers… I can say that Alibasha and Gazbasha are serving with disgusting loyalty to Edi Rama.”
Berisha reiterated the issues of the region and he strongly opposed the “Open Balkans” initiative.
“Vucic said it is a 700- page treaty. Have you seen any of its articles? I am against it because it is anti-Albanian and only Serbia wins from that initiative,” said Berisha. DP head said that his opposition to the “Open Balkans” is not only political, but also economic, because, according to him, this initiative contradicts the statement of the US State Department, which said that it recommends that free trade between countries should be based on European standards that are quotas. /Argumentum.al
