TIRANA – The government of Edi Rama must resign due to the unprecedented situation created in Kakavija border crossing with Greece, said former lawmaker of opposition Democratic Party (DP) Xhemal Gjunkshi in a FB status on Saturday.
Gjunkshi said that the tragic event of the Albanians waiting in queues was published by Albanian and foreign portals, highlighting once again the failure of this government.
Further on he said that as Albanians languish in the streets of Kakavija, the government is unable to find a solution and it has capitulated in face of a situation out of control.
“Domestic and foreign portals publish sad pictures, thousands of Albanians waiting for many hours in queues to cross the border, in extremely high temperatures, with children and elderly,” he noted saying that this government is driving Albanians away and making them hate the country where they were born because of negligence and irresponsibility.
“It is a tragic situation, where people have been lying on the streets for days and the authorities say that they are in constant communication with the Greek side to expedite the procedures. How many days do they have to find a solution and negotiate intensively?! ” the DP official said.
“This is not the government we want and this is not the state we deserve. This government should leave as soon as possible,” Gjunkshi said, closing his post with the appeal:” Rama go!” which was the motto of many protests called by the opposition Democratic Party last year failing in the effort. /argumentum.
