The leader of the ruling Socialist Party (SP) parliamentary group, Taulant Balla in his speech in the Parliament on Thursday said that the opposition has no limits with its proposals, which, according to him, do not have concrete figures.
Addressing the temporary chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Enkelejd Alibeaj, he said that Albanians did not vote for him to reduce taxes for him.
“The opposition has no limits in its proposals and being with hands in pockets can make endless proposals. You did not give a value to your proposals. We proposed $ 350 million going to ordinary people. The purpose here was to remove the tax. No, Mr. Alibeaj, you and I will pay for the oil at the market price, while we will subsidize the citizens who move by urban transport,” said Balla.
According to him, the deputies are not in Parliament for the prices to decrease for them. They will pay according to the market prices.
“There is no government in Europe to subsidize 80% of the electricity bill. For us MPs, for those who have high salaries, the time has come to give up benefits and face the situation. You came up with a package for the poor and the rich to face alike, but we are the SP and for us the poor matter,” he said. /Argumentum.al
