On the occasion of the 109th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces, President Ilir Meta has expressed gratitude to all those who contributed and contribute to the Albanian army.
“With the expression of the highest respect, appreciation and deep gratitude for every man and woman in uniform, who in these 109 years have served with devotion and sublime sacrifice in defense of the homeland, independence, sovereignty and national security, guarantee of freedom, peace and stability
in the region and the world, under the National Flag, I convey to our Armed Forces the most cordial congratulations on the Day of Foundation,” said Meta.
The President encouraged them to continue responsibly in terms of modernization, increase of training capabilities and operational capacities to always be ready in response to the mission, situations and challenges posed by time, as well as tasks, arising from the Constitution of the Republic of Albania and commitments within NATO.
In the meantime, the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi congratulated all those who serve in the Armed Forces on the occasion of the 109th anniversary of the foundation through a video that shows the history of the Armed Forces from its establishment until today, as part of NATO Alliance.
The Minister expressed gratitude to all the military who have made their contribution. “Today, the 109th anniversary of the Armed Forces – gratitude to all the military who created and gave life to a modern force. Today we are beside NATO, the largest political and military alliance in the world,” said the Minister of Defense.
No military activities were performed to mark day a practice used before to show the ‘muscle’ of the Albanian military.
