TIRANA, May 30 – The Democratic Party (DP) has reacted by saying that the announcements of the Rama-Basha disinformation office spread in some media that the DP has been expelled or suspended from the European People’s Party (EPP), are fabrications without any basis.
The DP announced on Monday that the EPP has maintained and continues to maintain a completely neutral stance regarding the internal developments in the Democratic Party.
Meanwhile, the DP stated that for this purpose, at the end of March 2022, the EPP decided not to invite the official DP delegation to its Congress, until there is a final solution to the issue of official DP representation.
However, in order to give a voice to the PD representatives, 3 deputies have been invited and are participating as delegates of the European forums in the EPP Congress in Rotterdam: Albana Vokshi, delegate from the EPP Women’s Forum; Belind Këlliçi, delegate from the EDS youth forum and Jorida Tabaku, delegate from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
