Meta Sees Kosovo Leaders’ Indictment as Provocative Strategy

TIRANA – Albania’s President Ilir Meta has considered the indictment of some leaders
of Kosovo for war crimes as a provocative strategy seeking to hold the region hostage and undermine integration in some neighboring countries.
In his Friday’s communication with journalists on political developments Meta
expressed his solidarity with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and PDK’s Chairman Kadri Veseli expressing his confidence that they will face the situation with dignity to confirm the justice of the KLA war.
The Office of the Specialized Prosecutor in The Hague made public on June 24 indictments against President Thaci and PDK chairman Veseli on suspicion of crimes against humanity and war crimes charges which were filed on April 24 this year.
According to Meta, this is a very challenging development and he believed that it will be faced with a lot of wisdom, unity and foresight in Kosovo
