TIRANA, May 15 – There are more than 2 weeks that the Court of Tirana does not respond making no available its decision on the Democratic Party (DP) becoming an obstacle to appeal this decision in complete violation of the law, has said the Director of Communication of the DP Re-establishment Commission, Floriana Garo in a press release issued on Sunday. Garo warned of criminal charges for abuse of office for any character involved in this illegal scenario.
Specifically, since April 26, the Democratic Party has officially asked the Court of Tirana to communicate the decision of Judge Blerina Muçaj, who accepted the appeal of MP Enkelejd Alibeaj against the decision of the Democratic Party in order to exercise its right to legal appeal. “For more than 2 weeks, the Court of Tirana does not return an answer and does not make the decision available to us, becoming an obstacle to appeal this decision in complete contradiction with the law.”
The only reason for this delay maneuver, according to Garo, is for the December 11th Assembly registration file to be sent to the Court of Appeals before the Democratic Party has the opportunity to appeal Judge Muça’s decision.
“The Democratic Party calls on the leaders of the Tirana Court, namely President Flamur Kapllani and Chancellor Donald Xhelili not to become part of this illegal blocking scenario,” said Garo.
On the other hand, she said that DP warns that if by the end of the official schedule on Monday the decision of Judge Muça has not been officially communicated to her, then she will file a criminal report for abuse of office for any character involved in this illegal scenario, regardless of the position she holds.
“The legitimate governing bodies of the Democratic Party are elected and determined only by the Democrats by free vote, and no one can dictate them, neither by court decisions nor by procedural tricks,” Garo said. /Argumentum.al
