TIRANA, August 30 – Arsen Muskurti, who shot dead his brother Dritan Muskurti and sister-in-law Nora Muskurti, wa handcuffed by the Tirana police on ‘5 Maji’ street on Tuesday.
Police sources said that 5 shells were found at the scene of the crime. Meanwhile, the same sources noted that A. Muskurti had constant conflicts with his brother and sister-in-law, and the last quarrel happened two days ago.
The whole tragic incident is suspected to have started after a family conflict related to a tourist agency and continuous attacks on social networks. The brothers were once partners in business, but the conflicts did not stop. Dritan and Nora Muskurti have been succeeded by two minor children.
In the meantime a person killed his father- in- law and brother- in- law in a separate tragic event on Monday night.
The assassination of four citizens in the 24-hour span of time was considered by Democratic Party deputy Dashnor Sula as a state of war in Albania.
According to him, denied and delayed justice is the main cause of such bloodshed in this Balkan country.
But the Interior Minister, Bledi Cuci was busy on Tuesday releasing post after post praising the effectiveness of the police in arresting the alleged culprits.
It’s unusual such a public relations behavior of the minister which coincides with the undenied report that top police Gledis Nano has resigned.
It remains to be seen what will be made public after the government’s meeting on Wednesday because no official announcement was made on what’s happening at the police cupola.
