TIRANA, August 21 – The Ambassador of the United States of America, Yuri Kim, held a phone call with the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi and the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Arben Kingji on Sunday after the incident at the Gramsh military plant, where 3 foreign citizens, 2 Russians and a Ukrainian, tried to enter the premises, attacking 2 soldiers who were guarding the plant.
Kim wished the two soldiers, who were injured, a speedy recovery and said the US stood with its ally.
The ambassador spoke of a full investigation by the authorities to determine the facts and hold those responsible accountable.
“We stand with our ally as the authorities fully investigate to establish the facts and hold those responsible accountable,” Kim said on social media on Sunday.
