TIRANA, August 26 – Behind the plants for the production of electricity that the government is expected to bring to the two ships located in Vlora, the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha said in a news conference on Friday that a mega affair of Prime Minister Edi Rama is hidden. Berisha spoke about giant generators that are coming from Bangladesh, which, according to him, will produce energy at a staggering cost, simultaneously causing an environmental disaster on the coast of Vlora due to high pollution.
“760 million euros is calculated by the best specialists and that is the cost for 2 years that these plants will work, including the rent and the oil they spend. Edi Rama deceived the citizens when he declared that they work with gas. These do not run on gas, but are generators that run only on D2 diesel, which is terribly high in sulfur,” said Berisha, a former premier.
In view of the mega affair, Berisha said that the Prime Minister has also put the emptying of the Drini cascade, northern Albania, in open contradiction with the law.
The decision to increase the price of energy in autumn by the government for consumers exceeding 800 kilowatts per hour was countered with a warning. “I guarantee that Albania will pour into the streets and give him what he deserves.”
He sees the removal of Edi Rama from power as a joint mission with his ally Ilir Meta, chairman of the Freedom Party (FP). “We will cooperate in a common front to save Albania from Edi Rama.”
Just like the FP chairman Sali Berisha also admitted that there is wiretapping of Prime Minister Rama with exponents of the underworld. “Wiretapping is a reality… To be surprised that Rama is recorded talking to criminal groups is a joke. Undoubtedly, he was recorded,” said Berisha.
In addition, Berisha confirmed that the Democratic Party will regain the majority of the parliamentary group in September by removing Enkelejd Alibeaj from its leadership, a position held by Luciano Boçi in the DP.
