TIRANA, September 8 – It is official that the price of energy will be 42 Lek/kWh for all those who spend over 800 kWh, has said Energy Minister Belinda Balluku as she unveiled the anti-crisis package. Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj were present at this presentation on Thursday.
This package starts with the setting of the 800 kWh band, and includes a very small number of consumers because, according to her, over 96% of household clients consume less than 800 kWh per month, while 4% of household consumers make up 19% of the local monthly consumption volume. So, only 4% of family clients consume 19% of 100% of the volume that is sold, she said.
Balluku emphasized that the establishment of the 800 kilowatt/hour band from October 1 to the next 15 months (October 1, 2022-December 2023) will bring a saving of 100 million euros and there will be an expected 2.5% reduction in energy consumption in Albania.
“The price that will be applied in the future for those who consume over 800 kilowatts/hour will be 35 lek per kwh plus 7 lek transmission and distribution fee and the total is 42 lek per kilowatt. The price for the consumption of 800 kwh remains unchanged (9.5 ALL),” said Balluku. /Argumentum.al
