TIRANA, September 7 – The head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta said on Wednesday in a meeting with the structures of his party in Kombinat neighborhood in Tirana that Albania is in a critical energy situation and that there will be concrete proposals in the field of energy.
“We are in a critical energy situation. Rama is in his 10th year as Prime Minister, but it is the same energy situation as he did not make investments. He made a criminal waste of all energy resources,” said Meta. He called the washing of clothes at 30 degrees as well as bands of over 800 kW a fairy tale, which are irresponsible politics, when the government itself has 200 million euros of unpaid energy only as a result of the mismanagement of watermains, which have also turned into electoral enterprises. Meta emphasized that this is not an anti-crisis government, but the source of the biggest crises that Albanians have faced these years.
“As the Party of Freedom we are committed to concrete laws and initiatives and we will continue these in the field of energy as we are a party that has the political will for a new direction of the country,” the former President said, adding that FP hits corruption directly. “We have sent to SPAK concrete, flagrant evidence of the government’s involvement in corruption. The government asks citizens to save, but it abuses itself,” Meta said.
