President Ilir Meta praised the essential role of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) in state-building processes, consolidation of democracy and institutions of Kosovo, based on the valuable legacy of the late historic President, Ibrahim Rugova.
Meta made that statement at a meeting with the chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku and the accompanying delegation, with whom he discussed the developments and challenges that our two countries are going through, the region and beyond on Friday.
President Meta stressed the importance of strengthening the most effective cooperation between the two countries, and guaranteed that Albania will strongly support the Republic of Kosovo on its path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
During the meeting, Meta and Abdixhiku agreed that the challenges and threats that the Western Balkans may face in the near future require even greater efforts by Albania and Kosovo and the Albanian factor in the region to strengthen cooperation with Euro-Atlantic partners to strengthen security and peace in the region. /Argumentum.al
