Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that 236 suspects were tested in the last 24 hours and 8 were tested positive. Also, the Ministry of Health announced that northeastern town of Kukes has added to the map of the spread of disease with a confirmed infected case.
Referring to the graph the trend of positivity of the tested samples shows a consistency of confirmed cases, mainly during the last two weeks, said ministry’s daily update.
In the meantime it is reported that the total number of casualties stands at 24 while on the other hand 248 have recovered. “Over the past 24 hours, 16 other patients have been added to the list of the recovered patients, bringing their total number to 248,’ said the statement.
There are 46 patients hospitalized in the two Covid hospitals in Tirana and as the medical bulletin noted 12 patients are in intensive care, while 5 of them are intubated.
The map of the spread of Covid -19 virus extended for the first time to the town of Kukës while Tirana with 227 cases tops the list of the affected persons followed by Shkodra, northern Albania, with 71 cases.
In conclusion Tuesday’s statement released by the Ministry of Health urges citizens to continue to respect social distancing measures. “In these moments, it is required responsibility of the citizens in order to respect the necessary distance between each other and to maintain personal hygiene,” advised the health ministry./argumentum.al/
