TIRANA, November 17 – A joint delegation with members from the Commission for Foreign Policy and the Commission for European Affairs, led by chairpersons Mimi Kodheli and Jorida Tabaku, participated in the trilateral meeting Kosovo-Albania-North Macedonia held in the Assembly of Kosovo on Friday.
The meeting initiated by the Commission for Foreign Policy and Diaspora of Kosovo had as its main topic regional cooperation, the European perspective of the region as well as the exchange of mutual experiences in this direction.
MPs Kodheli and Tabaku appreciated the importance of regional cooperation and acting as a single group. According to Kodheli, the sharing of information remains important, as well as occasional exchanges with neighboring countries.
On the other hand, Democrat MP Tabaku described the integration process as a strategic issue in face of recent developments in the international arena because it is a security issue. According to Tabaku, the three countries should use the integration process for their transformation. She underlined the importance of the approximation of legislation and also the speed with which this process is carried out.
At the end of the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed for cooperation towards European integration, good neighborly relations and harmonization with Euro-Atlantic values between the Commissions for Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia. /argumentum.al
