TIRANA, June 12 – The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic has accepted the invitation of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to visit the capital of Ukraine, according to a statement issued by the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Montenegro as quoted by local media on Sunday.
Zelensky had a telephone conversation with Abazovic on June 9, whom he invited for a visit to Kiev.
“As announced, Government head Abazovic will initiate the idea of a joint visit to Kiev of the prime ministers of the Western Balkan countries, in particular those countries from the region that are members of NATO in order to send the message of unity from the Western Balkans countries which support the sovereignty and integrity of Ukraine,” the statement said.
During the telephone conversation with Zelensky, Abazovic announced that Montenegro had opened its doors to refugees from Ukraine. /Argumentum.al
