TIRANA, November 28 – The parade of Albanians in Tirana ended with the raising of the flag in Skënderbej square in Tirana.
The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, the minister of culture, Elva Margariti, the former president of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, mayors of other Albanian municipalities, heads of Albanian municipalities in Italy, deputies and politicians of others.
Under the sounds of the National Anthem sung by Vikena Kamenic, the flag was raised near the bust of our national hero, Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbeu.
Already turned into a tradition in New York, Albanians from all over the world dressed in red and black and folk costumes filled the streets of Tirana today. Under the rhythm of Albanian music, the participants created a festive atmosphere in the framework.
About 150 delegations from Albanian municipalities and municipalities, together with their ensembles, have joined together in this remarkable event. Pupils and students are also part of the parade, as well as representatives from Plava, Gucia, municipalities and small Albanian municipalities of Montenegro, from Presheva and Bujanovci, Kosovo, North Macedonia, 47 Albanian delegations, etc.
The parade was organized by the municipality of Tirana in cooperation with the “Albanian Roots” association.
