Deputies of the Re-establishment Commission of the Democratic Party (DP) have proposed the adoption by the Parliament of a resolution condemning the Russian attack on Ukraine which would also demand that Albania leave the ‘Open Balkans’ project immediately.
They asked that the Albanian government take over the aid to the government and people of Ukraine who are fighting to defend their territory from Russian attack. It is also demanded that Albania immediately leave the ‘Open Balkans’ project, which consists of a state that does not respect the territory of Ukraine and does not condemn the Russian attack. “Serbia’s stance on the violation of the Ukrainian territory should be condemned formally,” said the resolution proposed by the deputies of the Re-establishment Commission of DP.
‘Open Balkans’ project has been launched by Serbia and Albania which have been joined by North Macedonia but Kosovo, Montenegro and BiH have not supported that initiative being afraid of Serbia’s goal to take the leadership of the Western Balkans. /Argumentum.al
