After all Albanian authorities are reacting in face of the deadly spread of the pandemic deciding that no Albanian or foreign national can enter Albania after midnight on Sunday unless he can prove that he is not infected with Covid.
The Technical Committee of Experts announced on Sunday that all those who will enter Albania by land, sea or air must be provided with one of the following documents: to have a vaccination passport issued at least two weeks from the date of full vaccination; to have a negative PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test within 48 hours; have a history of Sars-Cov2 infection valid for up to 6 months after recovery. These rules will be applied for persons traveling transit and are over 6 years old. Persons resident in Albania lacking these documents will be quarantined for 10 days.
The Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that 4228 tests found 896 new cases and 3 fatalities in the last 24 hours. Controls for compliance with the mask wearing in closed places have been increased. Teachers, doctors and students are required to be vaccinated and by September 30 they have to submit the document certifying this process. In all cases when the recommended measures are not followed, penalties will be applied.
