SMI’s Vasili lashes out at PM for failure to carry out massive tests
While billions of leks are spend on check-ups scheme the PM Edi Rama insists not to make massive tests for COVID-19 in Albania, said the deputy chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Petrit Vasili on Thursday.
Through a post on his FB account, Vasili, a former health minister, emphasized that the World Health Organization requires tests for COVID-19 something which is not done by Rama.
According to Vasili, the Prime Minister does not make massive tests in an effort to hide the truth of the numbers of people infected with the virus and the mismanagement of the situation.
“All the most developed European countries do the testing and accept what the WHO requires, because only testing separates the infected from those who are not infected, allowing the control and prevention of the spread of pandemics,” he said.
SMI’s number two answers himself to his question why Rama does not do the extensive testing for Pandemina by saying: “Edi Rama does not do the testing to hide the truth about the infection from Coronavirus.”/argumentum.al
