TIRANA, December 30 – “The year 2022 is the year of the opposition, because for the first time in the history of the country primaries were applied,” said Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha at a press conference on Saturday. “The DP responded to the shameful, illegal and anti-national violence with the weapon of freedom. It placed at the foundation of its reconstruction, the freedom, the dignity of its members and sympathizers, and turned in this direction into an island of freedom in a country where the vote of free has come to an end. It did this with the greatest confidence that without a free vote, there is no rule of law,” he said. According to him, without free vote there is no freedom and human rights, without free vote there is no market economy and free competition and without free vote there is no future.
“Despite all the extraordinary difficulties, the opposition managed not only to be the news and idea of the year, but to set the tone for the political life of the country. Every Albanian has the right to hope and believe for a better year, more hope and closer to his ideals,” said Berisha./Argumentum.al
