TIRANA, November 8 – The government will not apply the energy limit of 800 kilowatts even during the month of November, said Energy Minister Belinda Balluku in a press conference on Tuesday. According to Balluku, this is made possible by the readiness of citizens to respond to the government’s appeal to save energy. “The Albanian government is protecting all family consumers and small businesses from the impact of stratospheric energy prices. The energy saving figures for the month of October are significant and give us the possibility not to apply the 800 kilowatt limit even for the month of November, also considering the upcoming rainy weather forecast, as well as a certain drop in the price of the energy in the international market,” she said.
“Saving remains fundamental. All the figures show that energy consumption is 7% less,” said Balluku.
The Minister stressed that the Government is looking at the possibility of support for big business, which is already in the free market, but which is facing difficulties in finding the necessary amount of energy. /Argumentum.al
