TIRANA, October 13 – The member of the Chairmanship of the Democratic Party (DP), Edith Harxhi has reacted after Wednesday’s speech of Edi Rama in Strasbourg, where he did not hesitate to attack the EU, but, on the other hand, did not say a word about the genocide of Serbia in Kosovo
The Strasbourg show was entirely organized to cover the scandal of the non-approval of the resolution proposed by the Democratic Party for the recognition and punishment of the Serbian genocide in Kosovo by the Parliament of Albania in June 2022, she said. “This shame will follow Edi Rama forever!”
According to her, even in his boring and diplomatically incorrect speech, he never mentioned the Serbian genocide in Kosovo. “The government of Albania, of which I was also a part, consulted closely with the government of Kosovo regarding the approval of Dick Marti’s resolution at that time and it received exactly the approval of Mr. (former president Hashim) Thaçi to vote in favor of the resolution and to show that we are not hiding and we are not hiding anything and we stand tall for the liberation war of Kosovo,” said Harxhi, a former deputy foreign minister.
“Mr. Rama, a mediocre in foreign policy, being driven by the desire to help his friend (Serb President Aleksandar) Vucic, does not want to understand that the key problem lies in the vote of the law for the establishment of the Special Court by the Assembly of Kosovo, despite international pressure, in 2015,” Harxhi said.
Further she said that Wednesday’s show characterized by the pattern of Enver-Tito attitude of the prime minister, his oriental speech in writing and taste, as well as his answers of “cool” pattern to the MEPs, have done a great harm to Albania and especially Kosovo regarding its admittance to the Council of Europe after the application made a few months ago.
“I am sure that yesterday Mr. Rama must have been quite emotionally charged after not having an easy meeting in Ankara, where he unfortunately put himself and the country in the position of a weak but obedient student in front of his “teacher”.
