TIRANA, August 8 – The member of the National Council of the Democratic Party (DP), Dorjan Teliti has reacted to the increase in prices of goods of basket prices, saying that trend has influenced the increase of poverty in Albania.
Referring to the statistics published by INSTAT, Teliti said that the skyrocketing prices at record levels, living has become more expensive, poverty is spreading more and more, the costs of living and doing business are increasing day by day.
“Today, the government’s own INSTAT made official the increased prices of basic basket goods and transport costs: oil +30.6%, bread +20%, milk, cheese and eggs +18.2%, vegetables +9.5%, meat +9.1 %, transport +19.7%,” he said.
Teliti said that while everyone is praying and waiting for a reaction and concrete measures to the crisis that has gripped the economy, the government is silent, does not announce a serious anti-crisis package and continues to abandon the economy, leaving hundreds of thousands of Albanians to the mercy of destiny while many businesses are on the verge of bankruptcy.
