TIRANA, December 4 – Iranian hackers undertook the next “blow” on Sunday evening, publishing other sensitive data of Albanians. It is about a database with a capacity of 741.8 MB that contains thousands of names of citizens, said the Pamphlet portal.
Through their Telegram account, the hackers have published the complete file with the general data of Albanian citizens such as first name, last name, date of birth, which municipality they belong to, as well as another category where some of them are determined to be part of the voters since 2015, while for many others there is no information.
The publication of the list of voters comes shortly after the message of the head of the government, Edi Rama, who said that through cyber attacks it was not possible to obtain any sensitive data of Albanian citizens. “Albania still does not have any data in the digital system, therefore the attacks coming from Iran cannot have any data of Albanian citizens or related to secret data,” said Rama.
In response to these statements, the hackers openly challenged the head of the government, as they ironically ask if Rama still thinks after this that they do not have sensitive information about the Albanians. “Our corrupt politicians still think that we do not have access to sensitive data,” said the announcement of the hackers. /Argumentum.al
