TIRANA, April 30 – The Transparency Board announced new ceiling prices for basket products on Saturday which concided with the Muslim religion holiday of Eid ul Fitr marking the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and prayer. It is one of the largest and most important celebrations in the Islamic calendar observed in Albania by the Muslim community.
There has been a price increase for oil and rice products. In the markets, the oil will be sold at the price of 381 lek per liter, from 321 lek per liter that was in the previous announcement on April 1. Rice has also increased.
The price of flour has dropped slightly. In the announcement of April 1, it was said that this product would be sold for 90.5 lek per kg, while now it will be sold for 79 lek per kg. These prices will be reflected in all groceries and markets of the country until the next meeting of the Transparency Board. Now this product will be sold 109 ALL per kg while previously it was 104 ALL per kg.
As for the price reductions, they are reflected in sugar. This product was sold 123 lekë per kg and now it is being traded 121 lekë. /Argumentum.al
