TIRANA, May 18 – The Minister of Interior, Bledi Çuçi stated on Wednesday that May 25 is declared a holiday for all public institutions that are part of the Tirana region.
“Today the government took the decision to announce the 25th of May as a day off for all public institutions that are part of the district of Tirana. So it will be a holiday for all public officials of the Tirana region,” said Çuçi in a press conference after the government meeting.
“This measure is taken in continuation of the measures we are taking to organize in the most exemplary way one of the biggest events that has happened to Albania, such as the first Europa Conference League final where we expect to have an influx of people, who will come, not only from Italy and the Netherlands, to attend this final,” said Çuçi.
He added that May 25 will also be a day without cars, so there will be no traffic in all of Tirana, of course except for emergencies.
“And what is important is that all access axes in Tirana will be blocked on the 25th until 6 o’clock in the afternoon, which means that anyone who will join the celebration of the grand final in Tirana on the 25th of May, who is not from Tirana, can come after 6 o’clock in the afternoon,” said the minister.
