TIRANA, April 9-President Ilir Meta said in a press conference on Saturday that the main goal of the Socialist Party (SP) Congress was for Rama to tell the Albanians that everyone except him would go to prison.
He also referred to the Tirana mayor Erion Veliaj and his statement that the President has stopped the signing of ambassadors. This according to Meta is untrue.
“The real head of this affair and organization gathered a congress today to tell all the socialists that everyone should go to jail except me. I did not want to deal with the rest of the banal anti-president draft by the bird of Tirana (Veliaj),” said Meta, adding that all that was said in the Socialist congress was cheating.
“If there were any complaints with reports between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the President, it would be evidenced by the facts through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The facts are the papers, the proposals. Can the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or the government, or even the Municipality of Tirana say that it has sent a proposal for ambassadors of the Republic of Albania abroad and has not been appointed? The president has made several appointments as presented. When they break the law and bring it to the President before Parliament, the president reminds them of the law,” said Meta.
Speaking of the incinerator’s affair the Head of State called on the detainees to repent before justice and to show the orders they have received for this criminal activity.
“The president has some duties before leaving. Even for the affair of incinerators we are not dealing with individual responsibility, but with a group. There is no censorship that prohibits this approach. What has been verified by the president is not before justice. The famous trio has gone abroad, the money goes on and the gentlemen who have been detained will pretend to receive some punishments to save some other things. I tell them to repent and show who guaranteed their criminal activity,” said Meta. /Argumentum.al
