TIRANA, October 20 – Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Thursday that not every conflict of a political and social nature should be resolved by the Constitutional Court, while he cited as an example the criticism of political parties on the government’s decision to punish abuses with construction permits.
“Despite my effort I cannot avoid to mention a new event of the last few days, unique in the totality of the public and political activity of this country in these 30 years, which is absolutely not devoid of unique manifestations of deviations – the attack on the Constitutional Court by a political party regarding a government decision to punish abuses of building permits by builders,” said Rama.
“The legitimate question that arises is how we can be mutually aware that not every conflict of a political and social nature should be resolved by the Constitutional Court or on the other hand, how we can avoid addressing the Constitutional Court for many things which in normal countries are resolved in other ways,” he said.
According to him, the Constitutional Court is not to be blamed; it is being misused by third actors regarding this issue. /Argumentum.al
