TIRANA, May 30 – Four letters of Skanderbeg addressed to the Vatican were discovered by the researcher, Mark Palnikaj who announced this occurrence through the local meadia on Monday. “After the publication of Skanderbeg’s correspondence with the Sultans four years ago, I am happy that after 15 days of intensive research in the Vatican Secret Archive I was able to find four of about 400 letters today that are thought to have been deposited for 25 years of his leadership. in this archive,” said researcher Palnikaj.
According to him, the number 400 is not much exaggerated if it’s considered that there are 300 months of government in 25 years and so every 3 weeks he has exchanged a letter with the Holy See, one of Skanderbeg’s closest allies.
The researcher, Palnikaj pledged to make public in Albanian all the documents that he could find.
