The chairwoman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Monika Kryemadhi stated during a meeting with Tirana delegates to the National Convention on Tuesday that former Democratic Party head Lulzim Basha sold out the April 25 elections.
Kryemadhi stressed that Basha dressed in the costume of the main opposition force sold the causes of Albanians as a cheap thing in the livestock market. She further stressed that now is the time to prepare for the local elections, those of 2023.
“It is a special pleasure for me to come to this meeting together, almost 1 year after the general elections of April 25 and after a long period of several months of reflection on the situation created by those elections,” she said.
According to her, although the presence in the parliament is modest today, SMI presents with its electoral weight of April 25, a determining superpower for the direction of Municipalities and Municipal Councils in the next local elections, which will be held 1 year from now. The SMI chairwoman said she convened the meeting to start preparations for the upcoming local elections. /Argumentum.al
