The President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, reacted after the Assembly approved the French proposal for opening negotiations with the European Union.
Through a post on social networks, he writes that the decisions were difficult, but that this made it possible to unlock EU integration.
Today’s decisions of the Assembly and the Government mean support for the country’s European agenda. The decisions were by no means easy to take, but they will enable the unlocking of European integrations and the implementation of the necessary review process. It is now necessary for the EU to act without delay.
