The Council of Albanian Ambassadors strongly condemns the dangerous Russian drone incursions into Polish territory, attacks that blatantly violate the territorial sovereignty of a UN, NATO, and EU member state.
This Russian military attack against one of the most important European countries Poland, a state that has firmly condemned Russian aggression against Ukraine and that makes significant contributions to strengthening peace and security in Europe and beyond, demonstrates that Russia’s policy of aggression, destabilization, and conflict can escalate further, endangering security and stability across other parts of our continent and beyond.
Therefore, these attempts at escalation must be stopped at all costs, just as the Russian Federation must be compelled to immediately cease hostilities in Ukraine, withdraw from all occupied territories of that country, and be held accountable for the damages inflicted on people and infrastructure. Only in this way can a sustainable peace in Ukraine be achieved, and any Russian attempt to repeat scenarios like that of Ukraine in other countries be prevented.
The CAA urges Albanian politics and calls on all NATO and EU member states to express full solidarity with Poland, the Baltic countries, as well as other states bordering Ukraine that have suffered from repeated Russian military incursions. It also calls for strengthening unity among them and increasing military readiness to counter any dangerous Russian provocation that undermines peace and stability on the continent and beyond.
Ukraine, as a country of values in our continent, which is facing Russian unprovoked aggression with determination and fighting on the frontline against this enemy of peace and humanity, must be supported without reservation. The establishment of peace and security in Ukraine means the preservation and strengthening of peace not only across our entire continent, but also in the world.
