TIRANA – “The dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is held for mutual recognition and for nothing else,” has said Kosovo’s PM Abdullah Hoti in an interview with DW on Saturday.
According to him, another date for a meeting in Washington is being expected. “But I cannot say when it might happen. We are waiting for the invitation,” said Hoti.
He could not say if an accord could be reached between Pristina and Belgrade within this year because as he said, “the progress does not depend only on us. It also depends on Serbia.”
He insisted that the agenda of the Washington meeting is focused on the economic cooperation between Kosovo and Serbia, and he mentioned joint infrastructure projects which have an impact on the economies of the two countries and the region.
As Hoti said the ‘political part’ of the talks will be in the Paris Summit and an invitation is being awaited. “I see the role of the EU and US as complimentary in this process,” said Hoti.
Asked about the relations with Germany he said they are excellent and everything would be done by him to advance them./argumentum.al
