TIRANA- Parliament cannot make any constitutional changes because of the irregularity of the number of the 140- member legislative body of Albania.
In a statement released on Tuesday the Spokesman of the President, Tedi Blushi said the current Parliament cannot make constitutional changes due to impossibility of numbers.
The parliamentary Legislative Council and Legal Affairs Committee adopted on Tuesday constitutional changes banning pre-election coalitions for the parliamentary elections to be held in 2021 in this Balkan country.
Although all lists of opposition parties have been exhausted for 18 months, the Parliament formally has only 122 MPs out of 140 MPs which is a constitutional obligation.
As Blushi said the replacement process of MPs has been openly unconstitutional and illegal. “So it’s time to put an end to all stupidity, the end of which is clearly known. Albania’s European future is the only alternative of all citizens of this country.”
In conclusion the presidential spokesman urged that all should keep away from any sort of adventurers./argumentum.al
