There is no other political force that can pull the country out of this abyss, except the Democratic Party (DP), said Democrat Chairman Lulzim Basha. He held on Tuesday, a meeting with the Democrats of branch 7 in Tirana from where he sent a “coded” message to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, about which he said he would fail.
“Albania can not remain a hostage, the Democratic Party can not remain a hostage, so here I am and will be as a hostage of the Democrats and as a hostage of the Albanians, but as a free man in the face of the regime and in the face of those who have become one with the regime by denigrating, dividing and inciting the spirit of split. They will fail,” Basha said.
In addition, he said the goal is clear, what was not achieved on April 25, not because of the Democrats’ sacrifice but because of the election massacre. He spoke of healing a wound that has been unjustly superimposed on the Democratic Party, that some of the energy be spent within the family as well.
Basha said that Democrats should be where the evil is, at the prime minister to the ministries, to other occupied institutions that are making life hell for Albanians.
