“It is still early to declare victory, it is still early to issue all non-medical measures, but on the other hand what countries should and are doing is an epidemiological assessment based on the local situation and there are some countries that have made the decision. to facilitate these measures,”she said.
Regarding the measures of Albania, Manastirliu said that they are measures that are considered low and medium intensity. “The situation is being assessed dynamically, it is currently a situation that makes us be careful in relation to those steps that we will take in terms of easing the measures,” said Manastirliu.
The Minister of Health said that the circulation of the Omicron variant prevails in the country, while she also spoke about the situation in hospitalis.
“Today we have over 18,000 active cases which are 98% with the Omicron variant and also the situation in hospitals is stable,” said Manastirliu.
Regarding the booster dose, which has given many guarantees in relation to the reduction of hospitalizations and also with the reduction of severe forms, the Committee of Experts is evaluating the review of making the booster dose before the 6-month deadline.
