The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha, admitted that the responsibilities regarding the result of this party in the March 6 local elections start from him.Basha made that statement in the meeting of the College of Chairmen held on Monday night lasting 6 hours. He said the cult of the individ must be overcomefor a strong party.
This is the 5th loss of DP since 2013 when Basha has become the party head.”The responsibility falls on everyone, but it starts from me. Everyone must take responsibility. We have the power to stand, to fight, to make changes, to overcome the cult of the individ for a stronger party,” he said.Further Basha said he had not lost any race in his life. “Today they are not talking about me. The Bermuda Triangle does everything for personal things,” he said. After this statement, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha reacted, who through a status on social networks, writes that Basha is the only man in the globe who comes third and says that he has not lost any race.In the meantime Fatbardh Kadilli, former candidate for chairman of the Democratic Party, stated on a TV talk show on Tuesday that the leader of DP Lulzim Basha has lost his sense of shame, referring to his statement that he has not lost any race in his political career.
Speaking of the reactions of the deputies of the DP parliamentary group, there are 3 categories. “People who have their freedom, like Mr. Gjekmarkaj or Açka; people like Bushati or Sula, who come from local votes, who have been critical; and the Duma-Salianji duo, who are political calculators, who have already made a decision on their political career,” Kadilli said.
All the above mentioned MPs are pressing Basha to resign. But according to Kadilli Basha has lost the sense of shame for what happens to him. “The silent majority in the DP expects a change. Berisha and Basha should not run for party candidate anymore, let the forums find the best possible leader,” said Kadilli./ Argumentum.al
