TIRANA, October 10 – The personal data of 6899 State Police officers have been published by the hackers of the so-called Homeland Justice group. They release 4 lists of police officers with data such as the person’s identity, ID number, age, place of birth and photo through the communication platform, Telegram. There are former officers who have left the ranks of the police for years among the employees whose data are released.
The distributed material is accompanied by a warning from the group of hackers who write: Maybe the people on this list are the next target. Be careful!
TV Klan asked the responsible authorities who are in charge of the administration of these data and said on Monday that it has learned that the system from which they originated has not yet been determined until this stage.
For weeks, Iranian hackers have been publishing sensitive data mainly related to the State Police. However, until this stage, apart from TIMS, it is not clear whether other systems used by the police have also been the target of the attack.
The police have officially denied that hackers have accessed the Memex system, which has information on individuals and criminal groups.
On Monday, President Bajram Begaj held a meeting of the National Security Council with the cyber attacks as the main topic of the agenda. No details are made public but it is learned that PM Edi Rama was also present in the meeting. /Argumentum.al
