TIRANA, September 19 – “I want to make it very clear that I am not the one who accused Iran, but we have evidence based on a very fine work of the legal expertise of the Microsoft super team for the detection of threats,” has said Albania’s PM Edi Rama.
Rama made that comment in an interview at “Wake Up America” in New York on Monday.
Prime Minister Rama is in New York, where he will participate in the deliberations of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, and according to his press office, in addition to his speech in the general debate at the UN, he is expected to meet with the Secretary of the UN General Antonio Guterres, together with other participating leaders. He will also hold a series of meetings with senior UN leaders, state and government officials, politicians and personalities from various fields.
The PM said during the interview that Albania was helped to detect the threats by the super team of American specialized agencies and it has been proven that Iran is behind such an attack.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has sponsored four groups, one of which is one of the main cyber terror groups behind attacks against Saudi Arabia, Israel, Kuwait, and so on. So, it is not an accusation, it is a fact,” said Rama.
Albania cut its diplomatic relations with Iran expelling its diplomatic mission accusing it of the massive cyber attacks in this Balkan country, something which has been denied by Tehran.
