TIRANA – “Serbia was not bombed by Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli, but by the democratic world. Serbia was not a victim, it was the aggressor. Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli and Ramush Haradinaj rebelled against the aggressor on behalf of the victims. This is a fact,” Prime Minister Edi Rama said in Albania’s Parliament on Thursday.
In a harsh reaction denouncing the indictment of President Thaçi and PDK leader Kadri Veseli by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague Rama said everyone was surprised by the indictment. “Justice is justice and it is not justice in itself nor its search by a structure approved by the will of Kosovo itself that raises big question marks, but it is reading of the text distributed worldwide to announce a lawsuit against two historical figures of peace in Kosovo. It looks like a leaflet of the Chinese revolution.”
Rama harshly attacked the Special Court saying that its act is unprecedented.
“In which anal of international justice this category of an announcement enters as unexpected and that language that is not used at all even to suspect or presume but for two monsters whose end has come. This is unprecedented in international practice. There is no international practice that can integrate yesterday’s text (indictment) or it is a model of experimental judiciary,” said Albania’s head of state.
In addition he said that selective justice is not justice and justice repeated by trials is not justice. “This special tribunal for war crimes as unjust is inevitable. All those who voted in 2015 for this Special Court have done the right thing. They need to show that they have nothing to hide. A soup that is difficult to swallow,” Rama pointed out./Argumentum.al
