TIRANA, September 24 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, sent another message to the deputies of the democratic parliamentary group in an online talk show ‘questions & answers’ on Saturday.
The MPs of the DP parliamentary group are invited to join the DP and give up the shameful games that they are playing as tools of PM Edi Rama, a status set up by Lulzim Basha, former DP head.
“I invite them with an open heart, but I tell them again today here, in front of you, that the whole of Albania is watching them, when they become an appendage of Edi Rama’s parliamentary group without any party mandate. If until yesterday they might not have been convinced that Basha was Rama’s hostage, today there is no Albanian who does not understand that Basha has been taken hostage with the Russian file by Rama, and not only that,” he said. Berisha extended his welcome to each of them to join the group, but there will be no tolerance in their cooperation with Edi Rama. According to him, the DP of Basha made an unforgivable mistake on April 27, 2021, immediately after the elections as no protests were organized.
Touching upon the much discussed issue of protests, Berisha said that the popular revolt against this regime that has no legitimacy is the main way to bring it to its knees. The DP’s most unforgivable historical mistake was made on April 27, 2021, when after those massively violated elections, its leader and leadership did not call protests for the overthrow of Edi Rama, but after being taken hostage by Edi Rama, he put the DP into a destructive spiral. It took a long time to get out of it,” said Berisha.
According to him, today the courts are a branch of the executive. “The DP’s problem is Edi Rama and without solving the problem with Edi Rama, it cannot solve other problems. That’s why we have decided to turn this fall into the spring of big protests.”
Asked about the meeting of the chairman of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta with the US Ambassador, Yuri Kim at the party’s headquarters on Friday, Berisha had the following answer: “A normal meeting of a US Ambassador with a partner of the Democratic Party.” /Argumentum.al
