TIRANA, November 17 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, has issued another warning in the Assembly to Prime Minister Edi Rama and the majority for the deliberate attempt to deprive the opposition of its right to speak and to insult it on any occasion.
As soon as the deputy speaker of the Assembly, Ermonela Felaj opened the session on Thursday, Berisha firmly addressed the man (PM Edi Rama) he described as “the man who hates because of his inheritance from his parent-executioners, political opponents”.
According to him, the obstruction that the majority makes to the opposition’s voice is an ugly act that shows fear and horror of the truth.
“There is no parliament in the world that divides MPs into 5-minute, 10-minute and 2-minute periods of the right to speak except you! This is a story of shame, a story that never existed, the standard of a man (Rama), who hates political opponents because of his inheritance from his parent-executioners and is afraid of their word. Put an end to this as we will not tolerate this situation anymore! Apply the regulation,” said Berisha.
He said that there are four months that the majority is not respecting even the most basic constitutional rights of the opposition. “This situation must end if you want peace and stability in the parliament! We have tried with very great patience to demand the implementation of regulations, of constitutional rights. You violated them every day. This ends today! And, I guarantee you, as I promised on November 12, that in this way it will be the Albanian people, the opposition people, who will speak in this hall!” Berisha said.
As a matter of fact, the deliberations of Thursday’s plenary session were characterized by numerous offenses and it can be said that none of the items on the agenda were discussed. /Argumentum.al
