TIRANA, December 4 – The opposition protest of December 6 will be held in the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard despite the warnings of the state police as well as of the Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
This was declared by the Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha in a press conference after voting for the DP’s Tirana primaries on Sunday.
The opposition people, according to Berisha, will forcefully prove to Europe and the world that the one who stands as their host is nothing but the head of the Medusa of stealing elections and crime. “That’s why this summit is an extremely special moment to protest,” he said.
Berisha said that there is no road that can be blocked except for the area where the event will be held. “We have no intention of going there. We are more interested than Edi Rama in the security of the European leadership and the success of the summit.”
“We are masters of the city in other areas. If the police are ordered to face the opposition, they make the worst decision. There is no battle that the opposition does not win. These people who are voting today have multiplied energy from this day forward,” said Berisha.
DP members and their sympathizers took part in the election of the mayoral candidates to run in the local government elections which will be held in May next year. /Argumentum.al
