TIRANA, November 17 – The head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, reacted on the energy meeting organized by Norway and Serbia in Belgrade on Thursday.
Meta said on social networks that Albania is a block with Kosovo, but no representative of Pristina was present at this meeting. “The regional energy market begins by respecting the Independent Operation Control Block, of which you are a part. l
“Albania is in a control block together with Kosovo, which was not represented at the meeting in Belgrade,” said Meta. According to him, Serbia is an independent control bloc together with Montenegro and North Macedonia, which were fully represented in Belgrade. “Albanians should know that commercial energy exchanges between Kosovo and Serbia are zero,” said Meta. To think that the energy market is decided by the Open Balkans is to ignore the investments made in the energy sector by Albanians and very important donors such as the World Bank, KFW and EBRD, said Meta.
“The energy crisis in Albania today has the main cause of the economic model that this sector has been implementing for the last 10 years. Very little investment in increasing the production of energy from our natural resources and no investment in the production of energy from natural gas,” said the FP head. /Argumentum.al
