TIRANA, November 29 – The Freedom Party (FP) and the Democratic Party (DP) will protest together on December 6, announced the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, after the tributes paid at the “Mother Albania” memorial in the Martyrs’ Cemetery on the occasion of November 29.
“November for us Albanians is the month of independence, liberation and freedom. December, likewis, is the month of democracy and the month of Europe for all honest, patriotic and freedom-loving Albanians. There is no doubt that on December 6 we will all be cheering and one more time we will make Albania like all of Europe. A free country where the capture of the state and the installation of the mafia in power will be ended. A country where no one will stop the aspiration to join the EU,” said Meta.
He added that the protest on the “Martyrs of the Nation” boulevard does not constitute a violation of the security perimeter of the EU-Western Balkans summit on November 6, but added that it is the mafia in power that threatens security in this country.
“In Albania, there should be nothing more important than the Constitution, and only the people are above the Constitution. We have made it clear that December is the month of democracy and the citizens have their own call from within. It will be a pro-European manifestation that seeks to end state capture,” said Meta./Argumentum.al
