TIRANA, June 29 – Prime Minister Edi Rama participated on Wednesday in the proceedings of the NATO Summit taking place in Madrid, Spain.
Before the start of the Summit, Rama published on social networks moments from the meeting with the host Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain and NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg.
Before the start of the plenary session of the Summit, Prime Minister Rama met with the US President, Joe Biden.
The opening speech of the Summit was delivered by the Secretary General of NATO, Stoltenberg, while the Prime Minister of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain, Pedro Sanchez delivered the welcoming speech.
The summit was also addressed online by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Following the plenary session, the Heads of State and Government participating in the Summit visited the NATO Technology Exhibition.
The NATO summit will continue on the second day of its work on Thursday.
At the end of the summit, Prime Minister Rama will take part in the signing ceremony of the agreement with “Enagás”, which is a Spanish energy company and European transmission system operator, which owns and operates the Spanish gas network.
