TIRANA, June 13 – There is no end to the leakage of personal data of Albanian citizens in a flagrant violation of the human rights whose protection constitutes an important element of the EU membership of this Balkan country.
The consecutive event has to do with another leak of personal data and in this case 3 million Albanian mobile phone numbers have gone on sale online for 4000 dollars!
The phone numbers of 3 million Albanians along with the names of the users of these numbers have been advertised on a website for sale, local media said on Monday. The owners of this personal number database have also listed the selling prices of the numbers, while their use is done for various marketing campaigns.
It is still available the website from where anyone can buy personal phone numbers of Albanians online.
This happens after the release of the list of salaries and personal plates, which are accessible online.
Some 4,000 dollars is the price for the purchase of 3 million data for Albanian mobile phone numbers, while 1,500 dollars is the price if you will buy the data of 1 million numbers, 1,000 dollars for 500,000 numbers and only 350 dollars for 100,000 numbers.
The website where you can buy the list of Albanian numbers says that the list of mobile numbers is accurate and authentic and even the information is updated, with personal numbers, names, cities and postal codes.
The scandal of the publication of salaries and personal data endangered the stability and security of citizens. These data were quickly disseminated on social networks, including data on the salaries of over 650,000 Albanians, personal mobile numbers of 900,000 Albanian citizens and license plates of over 530,452 Albanian private citizens and of 61,513 businesses, banks and embassies.
After the blessing by PM Edi Rama of the patronagists, who gathered data of the ordinary citizens before the April 25 general elections by spying on Albanians, the collection of private data of citizens has taken new dimensions in Albania. The criminals are not afraid at all because even on the occasion of the 31 anniversary of the transformation of the ruling left wing political force from the communist Party of Labor of Albania into the Socialist Party (SP), Rama, who is also head of the ruling party, praised the work of the numerous spies who followed over 900,000 eligible electors. According to Rama, their work should go on!
The US Embassy, the mission of the EU Delegation and other diplomatic missions in Tirana have kept silent sparing any comment on this grave violation of human rights in Albania because they have never blamed the party in power for its wrongdoings. Speaking on condition of anonymity they admit that the above events are great violations of human rights but they cannot speak out because they are advised to keep good relations with the Rama government. /Argumentum.al
