TIRANA, April 13 – Prime Minister Edi Rama launched the Socialist Party (SP) campaign in Lezha, northern Albania, on Thursday, where he presented the candidate for the mayor of this city, Pjerin Ndreu. Rama also spoke about former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, saying that as long as he did nothing when he did not have the non-grata stamp, he cannot do anything more in the future.
According to Rama, it would be unfortunate that the power returned to the hands of those like Berisha but it is simultaneously very bitter that in the 30 years since there have been local democratic elections, the democrats have not managed to create an example of a municipality or commune that has been successful under their leadership.
Rama said the 14 May elections are not national elections, nor to look at things politically. “And if we see them, it is inconceivable to vote for a man who isolates himself, as the chairman (Berisha) has isolated himself, who promises miracles that he did not even when he did not have the stamp of non grata,” said Rama. /Argumentum.al
