Kosovo and Serbia are expected to resume the series of meetings in Brussels and as it is officially reported by Brussels quoted by
Radio Free Europe (RFE) on Friday the consecutive round with be held on 7 and 8 September as part of the EU-facilitated dialogue on normalisation of relations.
The meeting is expected to be at the level of chief negotiators, said diplomatic sources in Brussels.
Kosovo delegation will be headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, whereas Belgrade will be represented by the Director of Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkovic. The agenda of the meeting is yet to be decided, a source told RFE.
The European Union Special Representative on Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, spoke by phone with both chief negotiators to prepare for the next meeting.
“Today, I had substantive separate discussions with First Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, and with the Director of the Serbian office for Kosovo, Petar Petkovic, about the preparations for the next Dialogue meeting on Chief negotiators-level in early September,” Lajcak wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
The meeting of chief negotiators would serve for preparation of the high-level meeting between prime minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. Also, the high-level meeting is expected to be held in September, but no date has been scheduled. Kosovo and Serbia delegation met on 19 July in Brussels, but the meeting ended without any concrete result as always.
